Gregory Wade is a young boy who was born in August 2004 and lives in China. Greg has burn injuries. He was found at the orphanage gates crying for his mom and dad. Greg was about 2 years old when he was left to be found. As you can see from his photo he has lost most of his hair, eyebrows and (I feel eye lashes, as well). Greg's hands have some "webbing" between the fingers. He has good range of motion in his hands and can grip objects with few problems.
Greg has scarring on his head, face, hands, and thighs. He has been grafted for his burn injuries. Greg will need hats and sunscreen for when he is outside. I live with these issues myself. Hats are a must to help protect his scalp. A ball cap is just the ticket. Sunscreen, too since it helps to protect the sensitive skin his grafts are now.
Greg's teachers say he is clever, has a great imagination, loves to play games and excels in math. Greg is an artist. He likes all colors, but especially enjoys drawing with the color black. Makes me think he draws dragons... Greg's nannies say he is a good boy who is quiet, shy and docile. He is also said to get along with his classmates.
Greg has a regular life... breakfast, lunch, snack and supper... he goes to school and is in 2nd grade. Greg is 9 years old, so may be in 3rd grade when he finds his forever family.
As far as Greg needing more medical attention for his burn injuries, Shriner's in Texas and Cincinnati can help his family at little to no cost to the family.
